| The Bristol Hampers Story

In the Beginning
Launched in 2002, Bristol Hampers' mission is to make gift giving—no matter what the occasion or circumstance—simple and exciting. Through a unique assortment of gifts, most created exclusively by us, and our easy to use website, we offer a shopping experience that's inspired, modern and convenient.
Today
We've grown from selling a few hundred hampers in our early days to the thousands we now sell each year out of our modern warehouse in central Bristol. As well as a succesful retail outlet, we now sell hampers wholesale to retailers and wine merchants all over the south of England and have many prestigious corporate customers who come back to us year after year - We believe the service out customers get is second to none.
Our Products
We always believed we could find the high quality products we needed locally. We're really lucky that some of the UKs finest producers are on our doorstep, many of them only supply the exclusive London food halls and independent fine food retailers.
Lots of our food has its own unique and interesting stories, often associated with the history of Bristol itself. Derek Miles began selling tea on the streets of Bristol straight from the docks at Avonmouth once or twice a week as well as inspecting the teas which were being landed there. In those days every chest of tea was bored and a sample was extracted which was examined and sniffed by an inspector. Most of our wine comes from one of Europe 's oldest established wine merchants. Averys can trace its Bristol roots back to 1793. Today they are one of the UK 's most respected merchants, providing a range of authentic, characterful wines, we buy their wines and they now buy our hampers.
Our Company
We remain a very small independent company but we're passionate about the food we sell, the people who supply it and our customers – many of whom simply appreciate the quality we offer – that's why we supply more hampers to the other areas of the UK than we do in the South West.
